Green Tee
Project Overview
Green Tee was an academic project that me and another student worked on together. The goal was to do market research on a given idea and then develop and design our own concept in that market. We decided on a Golf Scorecard application.
Visit PrototypeThought Process
I initially helped create a mind map for the structure of the application. It was focused on the main sections of the application and then those main areas of the application were broken down and detailed about what would be needed in the application to create a good user interface and user experience.
Wireframing
Next, the application was drawn up in wireframes. Me and my partner on the Green Tee team discussed what we thought the interface needed and we drew up some wireframes. The application is packed with tons of features so it was important for us to design the navigation to be as simple as possible making it easier to get to and use the features we were implementing.
Live Application Concept
The live concept was made with the simple design influence that I mentioned before. It was important to keep the design as simple and easy to use as possible as this will be something the users (golfers) will be interacting with quickly in-between holes to input scores and track their round.
With this in mind, I helped design the layout to include easy to use buttons that aid for quicker interactions out on the course. It needs to be easy to use so users can keep their primary focus on their round instead of messing with hard to use inputs when trying to simply input their scores.
